Along with Katie Baldwin, Yoonmi Nam, Mariko Jesse, Mia O, and Fuko Ito, I am participating in a traveling exhibition of mokuhanga prints called “Into the Fold.” A blog for the project with posts on process, materials, etc. can be found here. The first of four venues is the Common Gallery, University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu, HI. 9/29/17

The Codex Foundation has published a monograph of Betty Bright’s CODEX 2017 talk in their CODE(X)+1 series. Dr. Bright writes about the work of the wonderful Sarah Bryant and Sara Langworthy, as well as my work. 9/27/17

From July 28-August 31, 2017, I will be a resident artist at MI-LAB (Mokuhanga Innovation Laboratories) in Lake Kawagushi, Japan. There I will work on a new series of mokuhanga prints, woodblock prints that use traditional Japanese materials and techniques. The CfSHE Gallery in Tokyo will open an exhibition of mokuhanga work by the six resident artists from MI-LAB on August 6, 2017. The evening will include talks by the artists from 5:30-7pm. CfSHE Gallery, 3331 Arts Chiyodo Building, 1st basement floor, Toyko, Japan. 7/20/17

I have been selected as one of five international artists for a 5-week advanced moku hanga (Japanese woodcut printmaking) residency at MI-LAB Artist-in-Residence in Lake Kawaguchi, Japan for August 2017. 7/15/16

I was selected as a winner of the 2016 Walter Feldman Fellowship for Emerging Artists, juried by Liz Munsell from the MFA. I am very honored to have been chosen and look forward to the six-month fellowship. As part of the fellowship, I will be having a solo show of new work at the Walter Feldman Gallery at the Arts and Business Council of Boston in the Boston Seaport District in the fall of 2016. 12/22/15

I am delighted to have been chosen for a solo show at Gallery 263 in Cambridge, MA as part of their Curatorial Proposal Series. The show will take place March-April, 2016. I am looking forward to working with them. 11/25/15

I am participating in a project called Liber Mundi, which is a series of artist book and zine exhibitions created by 14 artists located in various locations around the globe. Each artist will coordinate an event or exhibition of the project around the world in spring 2016. 10/25/15

My piece Conversations in Syntax was awarded 1st place in the Artist Book category at the 5th Annual Art of the Book Exhibit at Rochester Public Library, Rochester, NY. 10/15/15

My book The Space of Poetics was accepted as a contestant for the 2015 Lía Libro de Artista award. 10/13/15

I have been selected as one of five finalists for the 2016 Walter Feldman Fellowship for Emerging Artists. The two winning Fellows will be selected in November or December. I am looking forward to the opportunity to show with the other finalists this fall and to be considered for the fellowship. 9/24/15

My piece Conversations in Syntax, made while I was a graduate student at the University of the Arts, has been selected as one of 21 pieces in the 6th National Collegiate Handmade Paper Art Triennial. I am pleased to be included along with my UArts classmate Karen Hardy. 9/2/15

I have been selected for a two-person show with Rhonda Smith at the Chandler Gallery at Maud Morgan Arts in Cambridge, MA in February 2016. I look forward to the opportunity to show with Rhonda. 7/2/15

Last fall I was invited to write the exhibition essay for Marianne Dages’ show Distant Operator at Napoleon Gallery in Philadelphia in January 2015. It is available here. 1/5/15

I have received the 2015 Fath Scholarship for Artists and Artisans of the Book from Rare Book School. I will be using it to take The Art and Science of Cartography, 200-1500 with John Hessler at the Library of Congress in July 2015. 12/22/14
